Why can't spring come more often?

5. . .4. . .3. . .2. . .1 ; YES! SPRING IS FINALLY HERE! I've been waiting about 274 days for this to happen! (If I did the math correctly, that's summer, fall, and winter -- or three seasons that I've been waiting through!)

I love spring because it's a break from the cold. Some people like the cold, but I dislike it. If it were up to me, I would like spring to be a year-round season.

Whenever it starts getting the slightest bit warmer, I love to go outside and play with the water hose. I also fill up my water guns. When my brother plays outside with me he is usually drenched by the time he comes in. All this water play might be the reason why the water bill is sky high for my parents from late spring to early fall.

Flowers always bloom in spring. What some people don't like about that is it means pollen, and pollen means sneezing or other reactions for those who are allergic to it. But I'm not allergic to it, so that's one reason why I like spring.

Another thing I like about spring is that school lets out during the season. If there's anything I like more than getting let out of school every day after the bell, it's getting let out of school after the last bell of the school year — because then it's summer break for another 11 to 12 weeks!

Easter always occurs during spring. Easter Sunday is always the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal (or spring) Equinox. This year because the first day of spring was a full moon, Easter was the very next Sunday. Something like this hasn't happened for almost a century!

So, you can see that spring is ONE of my favorite seasons (my other favorite season is summer and by now you might know why.)
