Trip to the Tallahassee Automobile Museum captures this writer's attention

The Tallahassee Antique Car Museum is much more than just cars. Trains, boat engines, stuffed animals and more are at DeVoe Moore's giant museum of antique items and collectibles. This weekend I went to his new location off Highway 90 East to see it for myself.

There were probably at least 100 cars — three that date back to 1860. There's any kind of vehicle you can think of there, from school buses to milk trucks. I even remember seeing the very hearse that carried Abraham Lincoln.

I was amazed to find myself gawking at their pianos. Before we went I had no idea the museum even had pianos. There were probably around 10 of the finest pianos that were either baby grand pianos or grand. They were grand, considering the fact that some of them were painted gold and some of them had murals on them.

Along with cars and pianos, there were a lot of boats and boat engines. One of my favorite boats was a little dinghy that was very similar to the one shown in the Popeye movie starring Robin Williams. There were many other things I didn't get to talk about because there's much too many things to do and see at the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum.
