Three books you won't regret reading

I have read many books in my short life, and there are a few that stand out in my mind. What I look for in a good book is lots of adventure (but not too much), suspense (and definitely not too little), action (this one isn't an absolute necessity but makes the story better), and a few other things.

The top three books that I have read are:

  • A Wrinkle in Time was written in the '60s by Madeleine L'Engle. It's an excellent book for people who like the science fiction-fantasy genre. It's about three kids - a girl named Meg, her friend Calvin, and her brother Charles Wallace - who have to go on an epic journey to find their dad, who was experimenting with some fifth-dimensional time-travel gadgets when he unexplaineably disappeared. But soon they realized that if they didn't save their father soon, it might be too late. I really enjoyed this book – I couldn't put it down.
  • Cryptid Hunters is a fantasy story written by Roland Smith. The two main characters, Marty and Grace, are twins and their parents are famous journalists who traveled around the world. But one day, their mom and dad died in a helicopter crash. The kids were sent off to live with an uncle they've never met. It turns out he's filthy rich and has his own island. Soon he has to go on a mission to the Congo and has to take Marty and Grace along, but then the twins accidentally fall off their plane. They are also hunted down by their uncle's enemy. They are in a terrible situation.
  • The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan, is another fantasy book, which has a lot of Greek mythology. It starts out with a boy named Percy who is in a boarding school in upstate New York. Once school ended, he went back to his home in Manhattan. As soon as he gets home, he goes on vacation with his mom to the beach. Soon a hurricane rolls in, and a mythological monster, called the Minotaur, is after Percy. His mom drives him to a summer camp where she tells him to run up the hill and go to the camp where he'll be safe. Right after that, the Minotaur dissipates his mom, and Percy soon finds out that his whole life is about to change. This was probably the most fantastic piece of literature I have ever read.

I encourage you to read at least one of these books, because you surely will not regret reading it.
