Kinsey exhibit leaves good impression

Not long ago, my family decided to go see the Kinsey Collection, an exhibit at the Mary Brogan Museum. It's a compilation of paintings, sculptures, documents, and letters relating to African-American history. It was created by Bernard and Shirley Kinsey.

The Kinseys attended Florida A & M University back in the 1960s and faced several racial discrimination problems. Throughout the years, they started collecting many items such as paintings and sculptures by black artists, and historic documents and letters from the slavery and segregation periods. They now live in Los Angeles, but the Kinsey Collection is on display around the country.

The exhibition will end March 23. It was very interesting and informative. I always enjoy things like this!
