Ferris wheel offers great views
Just recently, the fair was in town. It attracted lots of people, including me. For some reason, my family has never gotten around to going there, so this year was a first.
There was a huge Ferris wheel in the back, so that’s what we went on first. It went so high that you could see for miles – and there was an excellent view of downtown. While we were up there, we looked out at the area to see what other rides we wanted to go on.
One ride we saw was the roller coaster. It wasn’t like one of those Wild Adventures or Six Flags roller coasters, but it was still pretty fun. It took only a few minutes, but had an exhilarating feel when you went down a slope.
The Wave Swinger was another. It’s an exciting ride where you get in a seat and then you’re flung around in circles at about a 45-degree angle. For spectators, it looks really scary, but it’s not that bad when you get on. I expected to have vomit all over my shirt when I got off, but I didn’t.
We also went through the mirror maze. I have a history of getting lost in these, so I was relieved when I got through fine. It wasn’t very big. It took just a minute to get to the stairs, where you could climb to the top and play with those weird distortion mirrors before going down a slide to the bottom.
And no fair is complete without all the competitions. There were art pieces, culinary items, and more. Of course, there were animals, too. After walking through all the rows of contest entries, we went on home. That was a fun fabulous fair!
