5 Browns delight fourth-grader
My family and 1 went to see the 5 Browns perform at the Ruby Diamond Auditorium a couple of Thursdays ago. The 5 Browns are five siblings (two boys and three girls) who play pianos at concerts. They each started playing the piano at age 3. Even though there are only five of them, they have 10 pianos in their house. Don’t ask why, I don’t know.
Anyway, when I first got to the auditorium with my brother and parents, we sat down and waited for the show to begin.
The five pianists were amazingly good! Sometimes they each played all together on different pianos. Or, they would do a duet, with one person playing on one piano and the other on another piano. They also did solos. One time all three girls played at the same piano all at once.
At the end of the concert, the five piano players did an encore performance of “Flight of the Bumble Bee.”
If you thought they were fantastic performers, you are right about that (in my opinion). I was really sad when the performance ended because I really enjoyed hearing them play.
