A young writer lets his imagination run free for the holidays

I sat down one day and said out loud, "I wonder what an ant would think of a Christmas tree." A couple of people laughed, but I didn't.

I started thinking about this. What would an ant think of a Christmas tree?

If I were an ant crawling under a Christmas tree, I would probably try to hurry.

I sure wouldn't want one of those big heavy ornaments to fall and crush me!

Also, it would smell ridiculously weird. When I get close to the tree, there is this really nice scent that flows in the air. With an ant's puny body, it would be nine times as strong!

What would a squirrel do for Christmas?

Maybe take a pine cone and put it up as a tree. Pine needles will supply the garland, while acorns could be used for ornaments. Standing at the very top of the pine cone "tree" would be a flower petal as a star.

Another big question of mine is what would a dog think of Santa?

When the dog sees a big, fat, jolly old guy sneaking into the house through a fireplace, he'd probably think it's an intruder that wants to come steal the Christmas tree because he couldn't afford to buy his own with the economy at this time.

The dog would bark at "the intruder" and wake up everyone in the house.

I wonder what would happen then!

It was really fun to use my imagination and think about these things.

It's something everyone could do in their free time just sit around and have fun brainstorming hysterical viewpoints. So go ahead, try it, I guarantee it will be fun.
